I 、 General

  1. This system only provides services to passengers who have purchased international flight tickets from China Airlines or Mandarin Airlines.
  2. The next day after the international flight tickets of China Airlines/Mandarin Airlines being issued from all channels(internet, ticketing counter or travel agencies), THSRC tickets can be bought at a discounted price from this website.
  3. The supplementary THSR adult ticket offers discounted fares according to specific travel dates as follows：
    • Monday to Thursday, 22% off the regular fare for the standard/business car; Friday to Sunday and specific holidays, 15% off the regular fare for the standard/business car.
  4. For the actual booking dates for THSRC tickets, please refer to the THSRC Official Website (Actual booking dates).
  5. Regarding to travelling in high demand period, please press following hyperlink： Booking and Related Ticket Sales for designated Dates in 2024 for more information. May we remind you that if there are changes in the train schedule during special holidays or continuous holidays, please refer to the announcements at THSRC stations and THSRC Official Website Announcements.
  6. Passengers departing from Hong Kong and ticketing in Hong Kong cannot use the supplementary service on the system due to Hong Kong’s laws and regulations.
  7. Reminder: If this system crashes at the final stage while the passenger has succeeded in making a reservation or been processing payment on the system, please return to the system after reboot and enter THSRC Trip Management or check the email you entered to see if you have had a successful reservation or payment to prevent repeated purchases
  8. Please kindly be advised that every THSRC reservation made via this system needs to be successfully completed for its payment procedures and get their details, THSRC ticketing counter only may conduct assistance in ticket retrieval, but not accept to handle incompleted payment procedures for subject transaction.
  9. Currently only VISA/MASTER credit cards may be applicable to pay THSRC tickets in this system.
  10. According to THSRC announcement, tickets for Business Car are not sellable for journeys between the following three stations：
    • Nangang-Taipei.
    • Nangang-Banqiao.
    • Taipei-Banqiao.

II 、Booking & Input for THSRC’s member account number

  1. THSRC only accepts bookings at least 60 minutes prior to departure of the train.
  2. This system provides only supplementary purchases for single journeys：
    • 2.1.Holders of single-journey flight tickets can only purchase one-way THSRC tickets. Holders of round-trip tickets can purchase single journey or round-trip single journey THSRC tickets.
    • 2.2.If you require a return trip for round-trip flight tickets, please purchase the return trip ticket in a separate operation.
    • 2.3.Your flight schedule on PNR shall be the same as your flight schedule on air ticket, otherwise you may not buy THSRC’s ticket.
    • 2.4.For reissued air ticket, if system can not find the detailed schedule record from your original ticket, you also may not buy THSRC’s ticket.
  3. To comply with THSRC regulations on the collaboration tickets with airlines and restricted train numbers, passengers who have tickets for China Airlines/Mandarin Airlines that have not been used to purchase THSRC tickets and wish to do so must first complete the flight reservation and obtain China Airlines/Mandarin Airlines system reservation code before making supplementary purchases on the website.
  4. Please reserve necessary lead time for the THSRC arrival and Flight departure (The passenger check-in counter closes 60 minutes prior to the departure of the flight at TPE International Airport.)：
    • 4.1.When taking THSRC to connect flights departing from Taiwan, please reserve appropriate connection time.
    • 4.2.When arriving in Taiwan and connecting to THSRC, please reserve appropriate connection time.
    • If passengers can not connect to the booked THSRC for some reasons, the Company will not be able to assist in refunds for THSRC tickets except for the delay caused by the Company's flight.
  5. Notice for THSRC supplementary purchases for groups (groups with over two people(inclusive) travelling together)：
    • 5.1.They must be in the same reservation code(PNR) for the same flight.
    • 5.2.The maximum number of passengers for supplementary purchases is 9 (same THSRC reservation code as regulated by the THSRC system).
    • 5.3.The same credit card must be used to carry out supplementary purchases for groups.
    • 5.4.The system only recognizes the first registered purchaser as the ticket retriever.
  6. For "Foreign Passengers"：Passengers whose last four digits of their passport number are not numbers, please fill out the "passport number + date of birth MMDD" on the "passport number" field. For instance, if the passport number is 123456AB and the date of birth is May 15, please fill in "123456AB0515 and enter the date of birth MMDD as the ticket retrieval identification number when retrieving tickets from the ticket vending machine at the station or the convenience stores.
  7. If there is any THSRC schedule change, please refer to the announcements at THSRC stations or the THSRC Official Website (Schedule change announcements).
  8. The departure and arrival station of your THSRC train should comply with the departure and arrival airport of your international flight. Please refer to table listed below. If you would like to book a train departing from or arriving at a different THSRC station, please purchase THSRC ticket with regular price at THSRC station.

  9. Booking period for THSRC：
    • 9.1. On or before 2021/01/03: Tickets are available to book 28 days up to 1 hour prior to scheduled time of departure.
    • 9.2. Beginning 2021/01/04: Tickets are available to book 29 days up to 1 hour prior to scheduled time of departure. Furthermore, when the advance booking date falls on a Friday or Saturday, it will be extended to the Sunday after.
    • For THSRC's adjusted open hours for the special reason, Please refer to THSRC's website.
  10. After the passenger has completed the booking and supplementary purchase for THSRC train tickets, in addition to printing the booking details, passengers can also receive one THSRC booking confirmation message sent by this system to the email address they entered. Please make sure the email information is correct.
  11. Start Booking：
    • 11.1. Please enter the ticket number and the name of the passenger (ticket retriever) in English for basic ID review. After the login is successful, you can start conducting the supplementary THSRC purchases.
    • 11.2. After this system reviews and approves the flight ticket supplementary purchase qualifications and flight information, system will provide details on THSRC train schedules within 3 days prior to the departure flight or 3 days after the arrival of the flight for the passenger to choose (the departure or arrival date excepted).
    • 11.3. Based on the time selected by the passenger, the THSRC system shall display the next 5 train schedules with available seats for passengers to choose. If all trains after the time selected by the passenger are full and seats are available only after 19:00 in the evening, the computer will automatically display the next 5 train schedules after 19:00 for the passenger to choose. Such circumstances will occur during peak season therefore passengers are requested to make bookings in advance to book seats on desired train.
    • 11.4. Please proceed and complete the booking for the THSRC train.
    • 11.5. This system will display the passenger's "THSRC booking details" after the completion of payment and issue a confirmation letter according to the emailbox entered by the passenger.
    • 11.6. For subsequent ticket retrieval, please refer to steps in Ticket Retrieval.
  12. If passengers with booked tickets arrive at the station early and wish to change to an earlier train, they may consult representatives at the THSRC counter 30 minutes prior to the departure time of the next train for assistance in changing the ticket. Only one change is allowed.
  13. THSRC Notice：
    • (一)THSRC Personal Member ID：
      • a.The member account number is the ID card number or membership card number or mobile phone number (only for those who have been authenticated).
      • b.Please confirm your membership number before you submit it. If you have not yet successfully gained membership or if you have provided incorrect information, the sum of this purchase will not be accumulated as points.
      • c.Please refer to the THSRC website for further details about personal membership and membership reward points.
    • (二)Passengers using preferential or discounted tickets but who fail to prove their qualification, or changing to ride in cars of higher fare shall pay the difference in the fares. An additional 50% of the difference in the fares may be charged as penalty according to Passenger Transportation Contract.

III 、Disabled, Senior, and Children Tickets

  1. This system has also provided the services for the disabled, senior citizens, and children；all regulations follow THSRC published announcement：
    • 1.1.As the national ID number is required for disabled and senior citizens, they are only available for Taiwanese nationals.
    • 1.2.Children tickets are available for all nationalities.
    • 1.3.These kind of preferential tickets are unrelated to the special offer of airline collaboration tickets and shall be applicable to the discount ticket fares provided by THSRC.
    • 1.4.Passengers may enjoy consecutive seating when conducting supplementary purchases from this system.
  2. According to THSRC regulations, passengers who purchased subject disabled, senior, and children tickets from this system：
    • 2.1.It is necessary to provide proof of eligibility (includes valid government-issued ID/disability card) to collect the Senior/Disabled ticket(s) from the Station Ticket Window, or one of THSR’s partnering convenience stores. once the preferential ticket has been collected from the Station Ticket Window, the identity verification will be registered, and the concession for collecting the Senior/Disabled ticket(s) directly via the ticket vending machines or T Express mobile app will be granted. The validity period for such concession begins from the second day after the day of registration until the end of the following year. If the disability card for passengers with disabilities expires during the validity period, the expiration date of the card shall be the validity period end date.
    • 2.2.If tickets cannot be retrieved due to errors in the information provided by passengers, the Company and THSRC shall not be liable for any compensation: For related information, please visit THSRC official website
  3. For passengers holding senior, disabled, and/or children tickets purchased on this system：
    • 3.1.In the event of flight delays that require THSRC staff at the station to assist in arranging the next available train home on the same day, THSRC staff can only assist in providing non-reserved seats on the next available train.
    • 3.2.If passengers with such preferential tickets do not agree to take the non-reserved seats on the next available train on the same day, THSRC staff may request the passengers to make additional purchases, complete the journey, and contact the Company afterwards. Once the delay is verified as within the applicable scope of the collaboration contract, the passengers shall be required to provide：
      • a. Certificate of flight delay.
      • b. THSRC booking records.
      • c. Photocopy of passenger's passport.
      • d. Photocopy of the cover page of passenger's bank passbook (with bank account number and name on it).
      • e. Passenger's mobile phone number.
      • After the Company completes verification, these documents shall be transferred to THSRC for special assistance in providing refund for the tickets.

IV 、Ticket Retrieval

  1. Passengers can use the THSRC reservation code, ticket retriever's passport or ID number to retrieve tickets from the THSRC ticketing counter、ticket vending machines 、convenience stores cooperated with THSRC and T Express mobile app .
  2. Please refer to the following table for methods of ticket retrieval：

    4 Remarks Passengers using ticket vending machines should enter the reservation number. If the passenger entered the passport number, please enter the last four digits of the passport number in the "last four digits of the national ID number" field to collect THSRC tickets.
  3. Starting from July 1, 2024, the train is limited to be changed one time on the same day if the ticket has been retrieved.
  4. If you forget your reservation number, you can call China Airlines' customer service center at 412-9000 (please dial 02-4129000 from mobile phone) to make inquiries or present the passport or ID card of the ticket retriever at the THSRC ticketing counter to request assistance from the staff and print tickets.

V 、Ticket Refund

  1. Please cancel THSR reservations first before refund your air tickets to save the time of the refund process. Refund for THSRC Supplementary Services
  2. If at least one passenger in a group under the same THSRC reservation number wishes to cancel the THSRC schedule (apply for refund), the reservation records of other passengers in the group shall also be cancelled (also refunded). The other passengers shall be required to make a new THSRC supplementary purchases again.
  1. Before ticket collection：
    • Time limit for ticket refund : At least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Please note : refund application will not be accepted within 30 minutes of the scheduled departure time.
    • Method of refund : Use "THSRC Trip Management" functionality in this system to enter related information to log in. Conduct cancellation and refund of booked THSRC tickets.
    • Confirmation of ticket refund : After the cancellation of THSRC reservation and Ticket refund being completed, a confirmation letter will be delivered to the email box passenger entered
    • Handling fees : None
    • Purchase THSRC Ticket again after refunding : Reissued air-ticket is still eligible to purchase discounted THSRC ticket.
  2. After ticket collection, including physical ticket and online ticket collection：
    • Time limit for ticket refund : At least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Please note : refund application will not be accepted within 30 minutes of the scheduled departure time.
    • Method of refund : Please visit " THSRC Ticket Counter " or original ticket Collection place ( convenience store ) to apply for ticket refund.
    • Confirmation of ticket refund : Based on the certificate provided by THSRC or the original ticket collection place ( convenience store ).
    • Handling fees : TWD20 per ticket. ( Convenience store handling fee may be extra counted )
    • Purchase THSRC Ticket again after refunding : Reissued air-ticket is not eligible to purchase discounted THSRC ticket. If the member refunds the air-ticket and issues another new one, it’s allowed to purchase discounted THSRC ticket.

VI 、Queries

  1. If passengers have booked THSRC tickets and completed payment but wish to inquire or cancel their THSRC schedule：
    • 1.1. Please use the THSRC Trip Management functionality in this system.
    • 1.2. Passengers can access this functionality to inquire their"reservation details" or "cancel THSRC reservation and apply for refund" with the following two methods by inputting
      • a. "THSRC Reservation Number" plus "ticket retrieval certification"
      • b. "Flight ticket number" plus "passenger name in English"
  2. If you forget the aforementioned ticket retrieval information, please contact China Airlines' customer service center at 412-9000 (please dial 02-4129000 from mobile phone) and provide your "name in English" and "flight ticket number". The customer service staff shall immediately assist in querying your THSRC reservation number.

VII 、Special Conditions

  1. Compensation for THSRC delays caused by TSHR shall be provided in accordance with THSRC's special compensation standards.
  2. If passengers encounter delays for THSRC trains, THSRC station staff shall provide assistance.
  3. In the event of THSRC’s delays that causes passengers to be unable to take the booked China Airlines/Mandarin Airlines flight, China Airlines/Mandarin Airlines shall make arrangements for passengers to take the next China Airlines/Mandarin Airlines flights (but not for other airlines). If ticket restrictions apply, China Airlines/Mandarin Airlines will be exempted from the responsibility.
  4. In the event of irregularities or changes in THSRC trains, THSRC shall announce these information on THSRC official website and at all THSRC stations. The Company shall not notify passengers on changes in THSRC schedules.
  5. If the THSRC train ticket held by the passenger is an airline collaboration ticket purchased with flight tickets of China Airlines/Mandarin Airlines, and if the originally booked THSRC train cannot be taken due to "flight delay", there are two methods for processing such events:(Please note that passengers shall be required to obtain a certificate of flight delay from China Airlines/Mandarin Airlines counters)：
    • 5.1.If there are available trains that could take you home when you arrive at the THSRC station, please contact THSRC staff and present the THSRC airline collaboration ticket (if retrieved) or THSRC booking records (if not retrieved) and the certificate of flight delay. THSRC staff will provide necessary assistance.
    • 5.2.If no train is available to take you home, please come to China Airlines/Mandarin Airlines office the next day and provide following documents：
      • a. Certificate of flight delay
      • b. Photocopy of passenger passport
      • c. Photocopy of passenger bank account number in a Taiwanese bank
      • d. Passenger's mobile phone number
      • e. THSRC booking records
      • to the Company's staff in branch offices and the Company shall assist in transferring these documents to THSRC for refund.
  6. In the event of our flight change (advance, delay or cancellation), the passenger must be assisted by the company's personnel to reissue the ticket to take other carrier’s flight, which will affect the front-end or back-end connection of the high-speed rail discount ticket purchase, please kindly be informed that passenger needs to ask for the staff of our company to assist them in advance to complete the purchase of the high-speed rail ticket with the original reservation of the original ticket (the train time for the reservation of the high-speed rail can be matched with the time of subject new flight). However, the date of the change is not applicable if the date of the change is not the same as the original ticket.
